Old Market-Part III

When you go to the Old Market, you have to visit the Spaghetti Works! As you can see, the restaurant is filled with tons of interesting things. And the food is pretty good too! I had the spaghetti with beer cheese sauce AND hot italian sausage sauce-my favorite. A raspberry iced tea was an extra treat-and the cherry cheesecake was so good, it just about killed me. LOL! I could not eat it all. They gave me about 1/4 of a whole cheesecake! I left full, fat and sassy!

Farmer'sMarket-Old Market Part II

The old structures and the architecture are so interesting. I love all the textures and colors.

A Trip to the Farmer's Market-Part One

Hubby and I ventured out to the Farmer's Market down in the Old Market on Saturday. We had a wonderful time just people watching, enjoying the great weather and experiencing the ambiance of the Old Market in general. I hope you enjoy the photos!

Twenty Nine Aprons!

I am just plum tickled! There were 29 aprons in that bag-plus a set of valences! Anyone have some tips on how to wash them and preserve them? Any cute decorating tips out there among you wonderful gals? Your ideas and insight would be greatly appreciated from this old gal. Luv~ Betty~

Betty G's Tag Sale Treasures

I just love yard sales and this one was no exception. These are some of the treasures I snagged at one just one street south of me. I love the coal scuttle. It was five bucks but well worth it since I have wanted one since forever. I am going to plant some flowers in that one and it already has a few holes in the bottom. The watering can is enamel (2 bucks) and I got a thermometer to match it for a quarter. The flower pot was a quarter and the daisy wooden box was $3. But I think the real prize in the collection is what is in the bag. As you can see-it was only $3 for a bag of grandma's aprons! Keep in mind that this was the second day of the sale. The bag was on the floor of the garage and the tag was turned away from sight! I think people just overlooked it as just a bag of rags. But me being the curious old hen that I am just had to snoop a bit. And you can bet that I am glad I did! I thought I had just died and gone to the great beyond! More about the aprons in the next few posts! I haven't been this tickled since I won 2 cakes in the cake walk at Mount Michael's Fall Festival in 8th grade! Luv~Betty G~
